After you arrive at the Cancun airport you can either rent a car or take a taxi to your hotel. If you rent a car you will need to purchase Mexican auto insurance, it is mandatory. Taxis are the way that most tourist travel while in Cancun. Taxi's rates are regulated by the government, but it is best to ask your driver before you go what the cost will be. At your hotel, the rates are posted outside, but the taxi's themselves have no type of postings. To rent a car, you must be at least 25 years of age, hold a valid driver's license, and a major credit card. One very nice marina is the Hacienda Del Mar. They do ask that you book 6 months in advance. Their limit is 130 feet and their operating depth is 8 feet.
